Position Description: Licensed psychologist specializing in adult neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology.
The Center for Neurorehabilitation Services (CNS) in Fort Collins, Colorado has an opening for a full-time entry-level position. This position may also be negotiated for a part-time opportunity for the right candidate. CNS is a privately owned, well-established (24 years) transdisciplinary, comprehensive, outpatient program that provides rehabilitation services for a variety of neurobehavioral syndromes. We are located in the heart of beautiful Fort Collins, home to Colorado State University. CNS is certified by Medicare as a Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (CORF). CNS is also a specialty MS Clinic serving Northern and Northeastern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. Position requires Ph.D. or Psy. D. degree from an APA-accredited program and eligibility for licensure in Colorado are required. The candidate should demonstrate training and experience to eventually be eligible to pursue board certification in rehabilitation psychology via ABPP and/or in neuropsychology by ABN or ABPP.
The successful candidate is expected to participate in and/or supervise neuropsychological assessments (we have a testing technician on staff) as well as provide individual/group psychotherapy to patients and families dealing with psychological, medical, disability, and rehabilitation issues. The primary patient populations served include TBI, MS, CVA, and other cerebrovascular disorders, dementia, epilepsy, spinal cord injury and brain tumors. The age of our patients ranges from adolescent to the elderly.
The focus of our program is on neurorehabilitation, and a primary interest and passion of the candidate must be to integrate the results of neuropsychological testing into the rehabilitation process. This candidate will work closely with neurology, physiatry and other transdisciplinary team members. We are looking for a person who is outgoing, confident, hard-working, team minded, flexible and detail oriented. There will be eventual expectations to develop and monitor transdisciplinary treatment plans that are neuropsychologically oriented. This position could develop into an increased role in program development/management.
The application should include a curriculum vita, a letter outlining educational and career experiences relevant to this position, three letters of reference, and three sample neuropsychological reports (observing confidentiality guidelines) which illustrate experience that would qualify the applicant for this position. The reports should provide evidence of expertise in neuropsychological testing and interpretation, implications of results for the patient's functional activities of daily living, and rehabilitation recommendations. Mentoring will be provided upon hiring.

Unique practice opportunity for a MA licensed psychologist with specialized training and experience in health psychology, rehabilitation psychology and/or behavioral medicine. Hospital-based independent psychology practice at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod (SCC). Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient psychology services to geriatric and adult patients with a wide rage of medical illnesses and injuries. Candidate must obtain/maintain independent health insurance providerships (Medicare, etc.) and billing service. Part-time administrative contract (with benefits) with SCC to oversee psychology and neuropsychology services, provide program development and other related activities. Administrative Duties: (Administrative Contract with Benefits) Coordinate and oversee psychology and neuropsychology services for medical rehabilitation hospital including inpatient and outpatient programs. Monitor and triage inpatient and outpatient referrals to psychology, psychiatry and social work. Keep monthly summary of psychology activities including descriptive reports and statistics on # of pt visits, # of patient referrals, etc. Interface and collaborate with administration, nursing, rehabilitation therapies, and medical staff to improve psychology and neuropsychology services. Provide hospital program development to a range of rehabilitation services (stroke, cardiac, geriatric neurology, pediatric, etc). Supervise psychology and neuropsychology consultants monthly. Offer regular educational seminars/presentations to healthcare professionals and the general public as a part of the SCC Speakers Bureau.
Clinical Duties: (Independent Practice with separate Health Insurance Contracts and Billing) The SCC psychologist (with health psychology, rehabilitation psychology and/or behavioral medicine expertise) provides inpatient and outpatient medical rehabilitation psychology services to individuals and families recovering from neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, orthopedic, and other complex medical conditions.
Inpatient and Outpatient Services Provided: Initial psychology evaluations; Individual counseling, support and education; Family counseling, support and education; Specialty group programs (geriatric neurology, Parkinson disease, cardiac, chronic pain etc.); Consultation to medical rehabilitation staff on emotional, cognitive and behavioral issues; Psychological Testing (Brief Neuropsychological Screenings) as needed.

Requires a PhD training in neuropsychology; licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Washington; and a minimum of five (5) years training/experience with neurologically involved patients and their families in a pediatric hospital setting.
Board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology by one of the two organizations awarding diplomats in Clinical Neuropsychology; experience and knowledge of neuropsychology testing and sodium amobarbitol procedure, specifically with respect to epilepsy; and experience and knowledge with brain mapping are preferred.
