Test-retest reliability of a new executive function battery for use in early childhood

Learning Objectives:
1. To underscore the importance of establishing high test-retest reliability of children’s performance on executive function (EF) tasks if such performance is to be used as a means for clinical decision making.
2. To demonstrate how conclusions about the retest reliability of EF tasks vary depending on whether decisions are based on children’s performance on individual tasks versus their performance on a latent variable estimate of ability across a battery of tasks.
