Application Deadline For All Funding: January 10, 2025

The 23rd Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN) will be held from June 11-14, 2025 in Chicago. This year’s meeting will feature another outstanding lineup of adult, pediatric, and forensic workshops, as well as a series of student-focused activities, including the annual Student, Trainee, and Training Director’s Hour. It will be a “hybrid” conference, with all events held in-person, plus virtual access to CE workshops for all registrants.

We are excited to announce four opportunities for graduate students, interns, and post-doctoral fellows/residents and one opportunity for undergraduate students and post-baccalaureates.

These opportunities include:

The selected student conference leaders will work closely together and with AACN’s event planner, leadership, and student assistants. They will receive free conference registration, a $550 travel stipend, and up to 4 nights of free lodging at the conference hotel.

  2. Student Assistants: Student assistants support in-person conference activities including registration and workshop check-in. He/she/they are required to attend a one-hour orientation virtually before the conference. Student assistants are scheduled for 6 to 9 hours over the course of the conference. Student assistants receive free conference registration, and up to 30 assistants can opt into receiving up to 3 nights free lodging at the conference hotel. Hotel lodging is awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

  3. Travel Scholarships: The Student and Trainee Affairs Committee (STAC) is proud to offer free conference registration and $550 Travel Scholarships to 20 AACN Student Members who attend on-site. The award money can be used to offset the cost of meeting attendance, including travel, lodging, and meals. Applicants can apply under the scholarship categories of Diversity or Unrestricted. Students early in their training are also encouraged to apply.

  4. SPS/N2N Conference Mentor Awards: The American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN) Relevance 2050’s Student Pathways Subcommittee (SPS) and New2Neuropsychology (N2N) are excited to offer a Conference Mentor Award! This award is designated for neuropsychology trainees willing to serve as mentors to undergraduate students and post-baccalaureates from historically underrepresented backgrounds (“mentees”) at the 2025 AACN Annual Meeting. Doctoral students, predoctoral interns, and postdoctoral fellows are eligible to apply for this Conference Mentor Award. Although not essential, preference will be given to applicants who have attended at least one prior AACN conference. Individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply. Awardees will receive free conference registration, up to 3 nights of lodging, and a $550 travel stipend to use toward purchasing airfare, additional transportation, and food while at the conference. Each mentor will be paired with three mentees. Throughout the conference, the mentor should plan to prioritize mentee needs, foster mentee interests, help mentees learn about the field of neuropsychology, and assist them in making professional connections. Mentors should attend all conference sessions and events sponsored by SPS and N2N with their mentees.
