The Student Representative Subcommittee oversees the selection of student and trainee representatives who serve on AACN committees and the Board of Directors (BOD). Working in coordination with the AACN Executive Committee and BOD, the Subcommittee develops and maintains selection criteria and manages the appointment process for all student representative roles.
In partnership with the AACN BOD, the AACN STAC appoints student and trainee representatives who bring the trainee perspective to AACN leadership. Each year, one neuropsychology trainee is selected to join the BOD for a two-year term as a non-voting Student Representative. Every two years, a student is also appointed to serve as the Student Representative to the Publications Committee (PC). Through these roles, Student Representatives provide essential trainee-focused insight and contribute to AACN’s ongoing initiatives and governance.
