Relevance 2050 Committee Structure

R2050 Subcommittee Functions

Student Pathways Subcommittee

A student and early career focused subcommittee whose activities center on expanding the number and diversity of trainees entering neuropsychology. This is accomplished through graduate school application awards, scholarships that create opportunities for trainees to attend the annual conference, and webinars that promote interest in the specialty and in board certification.

Author Accelerator Subcommittee

This subcommittee promotes diverse scholars in neuropsychology through mentorship activities that assist with preparation of articles, book chapters, and book proposals for publication. It sends a liaison to the AACN Publications Committee to address diversity issues in articles submitted as potential position papers.

Annual Conference Workshop and Diversity Objectives Subcommittee

This subcommittee recruits and selects presenters for the Annual R2050 Workshop at the AACN Conference. It also works with the Awards Committee to select a poster for the Annual Diversity Poster Award. The subcommittee sends a liaison to the AACN Conference Committee to coordinate with them on diversity-related programs for the annual conference. Finally, it receives data on compliance with the required diversity learning objective for conference workshops.

Relevance Scholars Award Subcommittee

This subcommittee supports the R2050 mission to promote preparation of the specialty for practice as we move into the 21st mid-century. It solicits applications and selects scholars for recognition in the areas of Technological Innovation in Neuropsychology and the Role of Social Determinants of Health in Neuropsychology. Selected scholars who agree to the terms of the award receive a one-time stipend to further their work.
