Each year, clinical neuropsychologists from around the world convene for the AACN’s Annual Conference. This event brings together psychologists with similar interests for educational workshops and networking events. No matter what your role in the field, the AACN conference offers master workshops and advanced training for all members and non-members alike.
We are pleased to announce that the 19th Annual AACN Conference (2021) will be an entirely virtual event. There will be no in-person gathering in Portland due to travel and gathering restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we will miss the interaction that occurs during an in-person event, we are taking steps to include interactive components in the virtual conference. Moreover, the shift to a virtual format will provide presenters and attendees with exciting new flexibility and access to our high-quality CE program. For example, attendees will no longer need to choose to attend some workshops at the expense of others happening at the same time. A virtual format affords the option of viewing the totality of the content offered at the conference. Additionally, as we are aware of the economic impact of the pandemic, hosting the conference virtually obviates the need for travel, lodging, and related expenses for everyone involved.
When you register, you will not need to make workshop selections since all of them will be available to you!
Workshops will be pre-recorded and available only to those who have registered for the conference. In addition, presenters will participate in a live Zoom Q&A for approximately 30 minutes (or longer at the presenter’s discretion) to provide an interactive component with the audience. This combination of pre-recorded and live content will provide a flexible and efficient means for knowledge dissemination.
Pre-recorded portions of the workshops will be available on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. The Live Question & Answer sessions will then be held during the scheduled conference days (June 9-12, 2021). The workshop recordings will remain available for three months after the conclusion of the conference. No recorded material may be saved or redistributed.
We are excited to bring you the same high level of quality that everyone involved in the AACN Conference has come to expect. The shift to a virtual format will require some adaptation, but our presenters will essentially be doing the same thing that they have always done — giving slide presentations to an audience and participating in a Q&A session.
