Submission Deadline: December 10, 2024
Programming and Room Scheduling Proposals for the Annual American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN) Conference
All groups seeking programming outside of the typical AACN conference footprint should submit a formal proposal by December 10 the year before the conference.
Here’s why:
The annual AACN conference includes a core schedule of continuing education sessions, larger events (i.e., poster session, distinguished neuropsychologist lecture and reception, etc.), and special interest group meetings, as well as AACN and ABCN board meetings. In 2023, we also began a Mentor Meetup, and the AACN Foundation has their fundraising event Wednesday evening.
In recent years, proposals outside the core schedule have been brought to the Conference Management Committee late in the planning process, making them challenging to accommodate. By February of each year, the Conference Management Committee must finalize the standard conference footprint and details for the conference.
Our ask:
The Conference Management Committee will be taking proposals for programming and events outside the typical conference footprint. The proposal should include the date and time of the proposed new event and expectations for the conference committee in terms of support for planning and execution, Please submit proposals using the following form. The deadline for proposals is December 10, 2024.
The Conference Management Committee will:
- Review proposals
- Engage key stakeholders for additional review (i.e., Student Affairs Committee)
- Make decisions around whether the proposal is feasible
- Set timing of deliverables necessary for successful planning
Please email Jennifer Cass (Jennifer.Cass@Nationwidechildrens.org) if you’re not sure if programming you’d like to be included in the conference requires a formal proposal. A proposal process will help the Conference Management Committee and other stakeholders plan and execute a successful conference.
AACN membership is not required to submit a proposal. However, you must be logged in to do so. Anyone brand new to AACN who has never logged into our site may create a guest account and then login to submit the form on this page.
