The Department of Health Psychology (DHP) in the School of Health Professions at the University of Missouri (MU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. Candidates should demonstrate a strong history of conducting research in adult neuropsychology and/or rehabilitation psychology. Successful applicants will have a doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology, have completed a postdoctoral fellowship, be licensed or license-eligible in Missouri, and have demonstrated the potential for securing extramural research funding. Preference will be given to applicants eligible for board certification in neuropsychology.
This faculty member will conduct research in line with the mission of the adult neuropsychology service of the Department of Health Psychology, which is to meet the behavioral health needs of Missourians with disabilities. This faculty member will be expected to develop an independent line of research and secure extramural funding to support the research. Areas of research may include, but are not limited to, traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy, brain tumors, and ADHD. Additionally, there may be opportunities to conduct research in rural health and military settings. This position has an emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration. Therefore, the faculty member will develop collaborations within and outside of the MU community. Some potential areas of collaboration include stroke rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation, and neuroimaging. There are many opportunities for internal funding to support pilot research at the School and campus level. Finally, the faculty member will provide Neuropsychology services in DHP Adult Clinic.

The Center for Neurosciences, located in beautiful Tucson, Arizona, is seeking a full-time outpatient adult neuropsychologist to join our thriving comprehensive neurosciences practice.

The Department of Neurological Sciences (DONS) is expanding neuropsychological services through recruitment for an early to mid-career board certified or board eligible clinical neuropsychologist. The DONS has 6 neuropsychologists, 24 full time faculty physicians, 7 advanced practice providers and 20 neurology residents and fellows. Under the leadership of behavioral neurologist Dr. Matthew Rizzo, the position includes patient care, teaching and research responsibilities.

Patient Care: The DONS supports the following programs: Behavioral Neurology, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurocritical Care, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Neuromuscular Diseases, Vascular Neurology/Stroke, Magnetoencephalography. Neuropsychologists are integrated into the epilepsy, deep brain stimulation and solid organ transplant surgery teams. The DONS operates a 6-bed epilepsy video monitoring unit and a MEG neuroimaging clinical and research program. Outpatient referrals come from multiple other specialty services at our academic medical facility including oncology, family medicine, geriatric medicine, and Psychiatry.
Teaching: The neuropsychology program is a member of the APPCN with two postdoctoral fellowship positions. Neuropsychologists are also involved in neurology residency training program didactics.

Research: DONS Faculty are expected to develop and maintain an active role in clinical and translational research. The UNMC, Nebraska Medicine, and University of Nebraska network of campuses house a wide array of high end equipment including access to 3.0 Tesla Siemens and Philips MRI scanners, and a fully operational MEG Center. We are seeking a Clinical Neuropsychologist in the Department of Neurology at Wake Forest School of Medicine/ Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (WFBMC) in Winston-Salem, NC. This position is open-rank, and would primarily be clinical in nature, though may also include administrative/leadership opportunities for the interested candidate. In-vivo teaching responsibilities and research opportunities may also be available. The ideal candidate will be someone with general adult clinical interests and experience. The targeted recruit would evaluate patients with TBI/concussion (on an outpatient and inpatient basis), stroke, multiple sclerosis, and those with general medical and/or psychiatric illness. The candidate would also potentially evaluate patients with epilepsy, movement disorders, and geriatric cognitive disorders though the position would primarily have a general adult focus.

 

The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

PhD/PsyD from an APA/CPA approved program in Clinical Psychology with specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology
Completion of pre-doctoral internship and two-year, postdoctoral fellowship training in neuropsychology
ABPP-CN certified/eligible
Preference is given to an adult focused clinician with training or experience in a variety of patient groups. Successful record of clinical excellence; leadership experience/aspirations; interest/experience in student training; and ideally some research experience.

The Department of Neurology is a multi-specialty, well-established and highly regarded academic department with active clinical programs in Epilepsy, General Neurology, Headache, Movement Disorders, Inpatient & Outpatient Neurorehabilitation, Pediatric Neurology, Sleep Disorders and Stroke.
