Call for Applicants: Student / Trainee Member Positions for the New AACN Research Support Committee
The Research Support Committee (RSC) was recently created to provide fundamental research support to AACN members who have a strong interest in carrying out impactful clinical research, and who would benefit from guidance with critical steps of the research process. The committee currently consists of Drs. Jacobus Donders (Chair), Lisa Mash, Michael Chafetz, Naomi Chaytor, and Scott Millis. We would like to add a student/trainee member and are encouraging applications at this time.
The RSC members will provide advice with respect to background conceptualization, scientific writing, research design, statistics, and/or the publication process. The opportunity to take part in research grant approvals will also be part of this committee.
Application and Eligibility
- Member Requirements: Applications are open to any person who is currently in good standing in a predoctoral internship or postdoctoral residency / fellowship program, with a major emphasis on clinical neuropsychology.
- Experience Required: Some understanding of research design, methodology, and data analysis is required.
- Additional considerations: Although not a requirement, some experience conducting peer reviews for neuropsychology journals or other panels would be helpful. We will consider those with experience in either or both pediatric and adult populations, as well as persons with backgrounds in a variety of methodological approaches and clinical disorders.
Applications will be reviewed by a working group composed of existing Research Support Committee members.
