Leadership Award
Description
The Leadership Award annually honors 1-2 AACN members who have shown outstanding/distinctive leadership or professional service recently that is likely to have a lasting imprint on the specialty and/or is recognized within the neuropsychology community as exceptionally important and beneficial. This award focuses explicitly on recent/ongoing work, not lifetime or career achievement. Recipients do not need to hold any official leadership role in an organization; the review panel encourages nominations of members both within and outside of official leadership roles.
Award
$1,500.00
Eligibility
1. The nominee should be an active AACN member (board certified through ABCN and paid up on ABPP and AACN dues). Under unusual circumstances, the committee may also consider a non-AACN member who otherwise meets criteria.
2. A nomination from another AACN member, including: (a) the name and contact information of the neuropsychologist who is being nominated, (b) the name and contact information of the nominating individual, (c) a 300 to 500-word description of the exceptional recent/ongoing work deserving of recognition, the nominee’s specific role in it, and the anticipated impact of that work on the field. Unlike nominees for the DNP Award, Leadership Award nominees should not submit a vita, as the focus is on recent/current actions.
