Brief Program Description | The Internship training year includes three 4-month long rotations. Psychology Interns receive a minimum of four hours of supervision per week, including two hours of scheduled individual supervision, with the remaining hours being scheduled weekly group supervision (Supervisors each facilitate one approximately 4-week period during the year), inter professional milieu supervision, or additional individual supervision. We use an apprenticeship model of training, in which the Intern begins each rotation by observing the Supervisor, then gradually transitions into more independent functioning. Some Supervisors may use audio recording to enhance the provision of individual supervision. There are opportunities to co-facilitate psychotherapy treatment groups with Supervisors and to observe the administration of psychological tests prior to transitioning into independent test |
