We are currently seeking an early-career Neuropsychologist

The neuropsychology program serves patients of all ages with a broad range of issues, including neurologic conditions (TBI, neurodegenerative disorders, stroke, epilepsy, brain tumor, movement disorder, and others), memory disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and other cognitive concerns. The position offers opportunities for academic collaboration with neurosurgery (i.e., deep brain stimulation, epilepsy) and solid organ transplant programs.

Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA accredited psychology program, an internship with experience in neuropsychology and a postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in neuropsychology.

Eligibility for or certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology is strongly preferred. Eligibility for licensure and health service provider status in Kentucky is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.

OhioHealth Neurological Physicians is hiring a Neuropsychologist to join their practice to full program development and growth needs.

We are seeking a NY State licensed psychologist with expertise in the neuropsychological assessment of older adults for a research position working on a number of NIH-funded grants as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Role focuses on the neuropsychological evaluation of community residing older adults and on the diagnosis of MCI and other precursors of dementia using the in-person administration of conventional neuropsychological tests, largely from the Uniform Data Set (UDS). Testing is done by well trained, master’s level psychology research assistants.

Our research studies uses ambulatory approaches and ecologic momentary assessment to more reliably assess cognition as well as short-term and long-term predictors of cognitive status and decline. Risk factors of particular interest include stress and pain, personality, mood, social factors, cognitive engagement, sleep, cardiovascular risk factors and nutritional variables. Biological pathways are explored using MRI as well as genetics and biomarker studies. Other work involves the validation of ambulatory cognitive assessment and the development of cognitive interventions.
Duties include:

-Providing neuropsychological expertise to the research team in support of the objectives of our studies.
-Supervision of psychology assistants in the administrative of neuropsychological battery.
-Participating in a diagnostic case conference with study neurologists to assign outcome diagnoses which include subtypes of MCI and dementia.
-Communicating the results of cognitive assessments to study volunteers and their families.
–Preparing clinical and neuropsychological summary reports for the brain bank
-Participating in ongoing research publications including scientific presentations.
-Opportunities to conduct individual and group research on related topics is encouraged with the support of.an inter-disciplinary team of neurologists, psychologists, epidemiologists, statisticians and experts in neuro-imaging, genetics and biomarkers.
Level of faculty position commensurate with experience.

Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute announces a search for a neuropsychologist (adult or lifespan focus) with specialization in the evaluation of patients with epilepsy. This individual will join the staff of the Neuropsychology section at the Cleveland Clinic, becoming the newest member of a high volume service currently consisting of 9 neuropsychologists, 2 postdoctoral residents, practicum students and 10 psychometrists.

This position will be supported by the Cleveland Clinic Epilepsy Center, one of the largest epilepsy surgery centers in the country. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with our multidisciplinary epilepsy team that includes 21 epileptologists and 2 neurosurgeons. The neuropsychologist in this position will have the primary responsibility for clinical assessment of patients with seizure disorders, most of whom are undergoing comprehensive evaluation for epilepsy surgery. The clinical practice model is based on neuropsychologist interview and interpretation, supported by psychometrist-administered testing. Opportunities to evaluate patients through the general neuropsychology service may also be available. Assessment results for surgical candidates are presented by the staff neuropsychologist at a weekly, multidisciplinary patient management conference.

There is a strong educational component to the position. The successful applicant will play a role in the supervision of postdoctoral neuropsychology fellows in our APPCN-member program and epilepsy fellows who complete a neuropsychology rotation as part of their clinical training. Other teaching opportunities include supervision of practicum students and teaching of medical students and residents in many disciplines, including neurology and neurophysiology. The successful applicant will be appointed to the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at a level commensurate with experience. Although the position is primarily clinical, a substantial research component may be considered for interested and qualified applicants.
