Independent, Multi-Specialty Neuroscience Practice in Cincinnati, Ohio

Riverhills Neuroscience is the largest, physician-owned neuroscience provider in the Cincinnati area. We are seeking a clinical neuropsychologist to join our behavioral medicine department.  Our behavioral medicine department currently consists of four neuropsychologists, one clinical health psychologist, and dedicated office staff.  We provide outpatient neuropsychological evaluations of adults and older adults for a wide range of neurocognitive conditions such as MCI, Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, FTLD, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and memory/cognitive complaints stemming from other medical conditions and factors. Referrals come from in-house neurologists and neurosurgeons and a variety of community physicians (internal medicine, geriatricians, cardiologists, rheumatologists, and psychiatrists). 

Riverhills Neuroscience is a multi-specialty practice with 29 doctors, specializing in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Interventional Pain Management, PM&R, Rheumatology, and Behavioral Medicine and has been providing care for 40+ years.

We are looking for a full-time, licensed life-span or adult Clinical Neuropsychologist to join a thriving and very busy multi-specialty organization, working directly with the Neuroscience Center which includes 1 full-time Neuropsychologist and 5 full-time outpatient Neurologists.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care under guidance of Neuropsychology Chairman.

• Patient volume will vary particularly as the schedule ramps up and the reason for the referral.
• Expect to perform all assessments and testing with expectation to hire a psychometrist to fully support your testing after volume thresholds are met (expectation after 4 – 6 months maximum).

Education and Experience:
• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or neuropsychology from an APA accredited program
• APA accredited pre-doctoral internship
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology
• Licensure in the state of Florida

Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time faculty pediatric neuropsychologist to join our award-winning Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within the Department Psychiatry. CHA is a community-based distributed health system that includes the Cambridge, Everett, and Somerville Hospitals. The child and adolescent division provides outpatient care to youth and families in two outpatient clinics, three high school-based clinics, and via integrated care consultation in 11 primary care clinics. CHA is a primary teaching site for Harvard Medical School (HMS). Our system serves a culturally and ethnically diverse population; more than half of our patients (56%) identify as non-white and one quarter (25%) speak a primary language other than English. Our outpatient services include sub-specialty care in the assessment and treatment of both neurodevelopmental disorders and early psychosis.

Our child and adolescent psychiatry division serves children and adolescents with complex psychiatric and developmental conditions. Experience with assessing cognitive and socio-emotional functioning associated with severe mental illness (particularly complex trauma, psychosis, and clinical high risk), neurodevelopment, and neurological/medical complications from early childhood to early adulthood in culturally diverse community health settings is preferred. Skills in cognitive remediation are also preferred. In our culturally diverse community health setting, we value experience and skills in providing multilingual and culturally-sensitive neuropsychological services. 

Duties include completing neuropsychological assessments, patient and family education, consultation with colleagues in other medical, neurological and mental health specialties. The role will also include occasional consultation to our inpatient service, which includes a neurodevelopmental unit, child unit, and adolescent unit. 

In addition, our division combines advanced clinical care with academic engagement. The psychology division has a robust and vibrant training program that includes psychology practicum students, interns and postdoctoral fellows. The position includes teaching and supervising psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows and the faculty member holds an appointment at Harvard Medical School. We are seeking both early-career and mid-career applicants to provide a supportive and vibrant team experience.

The Neuropsychology department at Colorado Springs Neurological Associates (CSNA) is seeking a full-time adult clinical Neuropsychologist to join our growing interdisciplinary team, which currently consists of three neuropsychologists, five neurologists, two neurosurgeons, a neuro-optometrist, and six advanced practice providers. The majority of patients seen in our clinic are referrals from the Neurology, Neuro-Optometry, and Neurosurgery departments at CSNA, though patients are also referred from Primary Care and Psychiatry throughout the Colorado Springs community. We see patients with a wide variety of presenting concerns, including neurodegenerative disorders, movement disorders, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, head injuries, seizure disorder, brain tumor, neurodevelopmental conditions, among others. There are opportunities to complete pre- and post-neurosurgical evaluations, Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgical evaluations, as well as take part in Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) evaluations.

·Conduct comprehensive outpatient neuropsychological evaluations, including clinical interview, neuropsychological assessment administration and scoring, interpretation, report writing, and direct patient feedback.

·Full technician/psychometrist support is included in this position; however, the training and supervision of all psychometrist activities is the responsibility of the joining neuropsychologist.

·Perform all other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Requirements:

·A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program and completion of an APA/CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship with neuropsychology specific training conforming to the Houston Conference Guidelines.

·Completion of a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship specializing in Clinical Neuropsychology the equivalent of 2 full years of training of which a minimum of 50% of time must be in neuropsychology-related activities.

About the position:

The Department of Neurology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist/Wake Forest University School of Medicine is recruiting an academic clinical neuropsychologist to join our section of Neuropsychology. This position, based in Winston-Salem, NC, is for individuals at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position is primarily clinical, although it will also involve in-vivo teaching, supervision of post-doctoral fellows in neuropsychology, and the opportunity to work with advanced graduate students. Opportunities for research are also available.

The neuropsychologist will have primary responsibility for providing neuropsychological assessments and treatment to patients with a variety of neurological diagnoses including stroke, MS, dementia, TBI, epilepsy, cancer and movement disorders. Dedicated time will be spent in the Cancer Cognition Clinic, as a member of the Epilepsy and Movement Disorder surgical teams, and on the inpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit. Individuals with experience conducting pre-surgical assessments as part of multidisciplinary teams are preferred. The qualified neuropsychologist will work closely with other disciplines and specialties within the department and facility, as well as with patients and families to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

 

The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

  • PhD/PsyD from an APA/CPA approved program in Clinical Psychology with specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Completion of pre-doctoral internship and two-year, postdoctoral fellowship training in neuropsychology
  • ABPP certified or eligible (Clinical Neuropsychology)
  • Preference is given to an adult focused clinician with training or experience in neurosurgical populations (DBS, epilepsy, neuro-oncology)

Primary duties include clinical care for a very rewarding population of patients, assessing, diagnosing, and guiding them through their active recovery program with side-by-side collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Must be proficient in assessment, diagnosis, management/intervention, and counseling of athletes and families in the unique context of the sports domain. Experience with working with non-sport related concussion also encouraged. Clinic role also includes  providing vocational accommodations and strategies for return to work/school, cognitive behavioral recommendations, referral to and tracking progress with treatments, and determining return to play. The Neuropsychologist must be comfortable working with sport related concussion and mild traumatic brain injury in the various phases of recovery, including acute, subacute and persistent symptoms.

An established or developing track record of research productivity and/or interest in clinical education and post-doctoral instruction in the area of concussion is preferred. Protected time for research or education is available, with additional protected time dependent on acquiring grant funding.

The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking board eligible/certified ABPP candidates for non-tenure clinical track position. 

  • Opportunity for rehabilitation psychology/neuropsychology inpatient rehabilitation consultation service, embedded within specialty interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams at Rusk Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture of MU Health Care and Encompass Health, 60 bed inpatient rehabilitation facility.
  • Opportunity for rehabilitation psychology/neuropsychology inpatient rehabilitation consultation service, embedded within specialty interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams (stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and hip fracture) at Rusk.
  • Extension of practice into outpatient clinical care for ongoing rehabilitation psychology and neuropsychology related care needs for patients with disabling conditions.
  • Opportunities for service development and growth into leadership roles. 

Qualifications: 

  • PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology with experience in Medical Rehabilitation Psychology from accredited APA program
  • Board eligibility strongly preferred

Cone Health’s Pain Management and Rehab is seeking full-time Neuropsychologists in Greensboro, NC. This position involves the coordination and provision of outpatient and inpatient neuropsychological evaluations of adult patients who are referred for neurocognitive assessments.

Highlights:

·         This position serves young adult (18+), adult and geriatric.

·         Referrals are multi-disciplinary from neurology and primary care.

·         Patient populations include dementia, movement disorders, epilepsy, concussion/TBI, as well as a broad range of medical and psychiatric disorders that may affect cognitive function.

·         A full-time psychometrist assists in test administration and scoring.

Qualifications: Required

·         Post –doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology or 1- 2 years of supervised neuropsychology experience.

·         Two years clinical practice in brain injury and/or stroke rehabilitation.

·         Current Licensure in good standing as a Psychologist in the State of North Carolina.

·         Must be able to obtain privileges as a member of the Moses Cone Health System Allied Health Professional Staff

·         BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
