Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center’s Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time Neuro-Psychologist at the Assistant Professor (or higher) level. This is a full-time position with a proposed start date of September 1, 2023, or earlier. The candidate must have a Ph.D. or Psy. D. degree in Clinical and/or Counseling Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral program, must successfully have completed an APA-accredited internship and post-doctoral residency training in neuropsychology, be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists and board certification in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN).
Preferred qualifications include being Bilingual (Spanish and English), training and experience in performing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and demonstrated regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher.
The candidate will provide direct patient care by administering neuropsychological testing, scoring and evaluation for adult neurological, psychiatric and neuro-psychiatric condition; neuropsychological expertise in patient care in general neurology and neurology subspecialty clinics; will teach neurology and psychiatry residents and medical students in both clinical and classroom settings, will perform academic research and scholarly activities by participating in the collaborative projects with colleagues in the Department of Neurology. Candidate will also participate in committees and other administrative duties as assigned by Chair. Finally, the candidate must ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations and adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures and demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.
