The Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth is seeking a doctoral level Neuropsychologist with strong clinical, research, and teaching interests to join our faculty and serve patients at New Hampshire Hospital, our affiliated state psychiatric facility located in Concord, New Hampshire.

In this role, you would work with an engaged, multidisciplinary team and motivated faculty to provide state-of-the-art neuropsychological services to people with severe behavioral health illnesses in an inpatient setting.  An essential part of your role will be the coordination and provision of neuropsychological evaluation services, participation in multidisciplinary treatment teams, supervision of pre and postdoctoral trainees, and the participation in the overall academic mission of our program.

Candidates must meet the following requirements: (1) PhD or PsyD from an APA- or CPA- approved program; (2) a minimum of two full years of specialty postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology consistent with the Houston Conference guidelines; (3) board-certified or board-eligible in clinical neuropsychology; (4) eligible for licensure in New Hampshire.

The Division of Pediatric Neurosciences is seeking a full-time board eligible Pediatric Neuropsychologist to join our thriving division in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  The Neuropsychologist joining this practice will enjoy being part of a rapidly expanding children’s hospital and neurosciences program with Physician status and ample opportunities to develop his or her own specialized areas of expertise.  The Pediatric Neuropsychologist will also serve in various multidisciplinary clinics and play an integral role in program development, including training programs. The position will be in an outpatient practice, serving patients from Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital (HDVCH) subspecialty clinics, and the surrounding Michigan communities. The Neuropsychologist will complete neuropsychological evaluations for medically complex children served by HDVCH.  Typical referral conditions include epilepsy, brain tumors, congenital heart disease, head injury, neurovascular disorders, genetic syndromes (neurofibromatosis, tuberous sclerosis, etc.), movement disorders, prematurity, and toxic exposure. Pediatric & Adult Neuropsychologist Open Positions – Advocate Aurora Health (Wisconsin)

The Neurosciences program at Advocate Aurora Health is currently recruiting five full-time neuropsychologists (4 pediatric, 1 adult) to join our rapidly expanding Neuropsychology service.

Aurora is the largest health care system in Wisconsin and has recently merged with the Advocate health care system in northern Illinois. Our Neurosciences team is a group of world-renowned neurosurgeons, neurologists and other specialists who strive to provide the most advanced, collaborative and compassionate care possible. Neuropsychology is a valued component of this multidisciplinary team and plays an integral role in delivering comprehensive care to individuals with complex neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Our Neuropsychology team currently consists of 9 adult neuropsychologists, 3 pediatric neuropsychologists, and 14 psychometrists.

Pediatric Openings (4): We have open pediatric neuropsychologist positions at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee and at three Aurora Health Center locations: Hartland, Pleasant Prairie, and Greenfield. Adult Opening (1): This position will be housed at the Aurora Health Center in Oshkosh. Primary responsibilities will include neuropsychological evaluations of adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting, with the potential for inpatient consultations at one of our affiliated hospitals. Referrals come primarily from Neurology, Geriatrics, Psychiatry, and primary care physicians throughout the Advocate Aurora system.

All positions are primarily clinical; however, opportunities for research and/or training of advanced graduate students may be available. Qualified candidates will have completed a formal (APPCN) 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology, be licensed or license eligible in the state of Wisconsin, and be board certified or eligible for board certification in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. The practice currently has one full-time adult neuropsychologist and is looking to expand to meet the needs of the Rhode Island community. RICBT is an outpatient group practice serving the broader Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts area. Adult Outpatient and Rehabilitation Clinical Neuropsychologist Positions 

Beaumont Health is seeking two full-time, adult-focused clinical neuropsychologists to join the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Programs located in Taylor, Michigan and Dearborn, Michigan.  Both positions will involve outpatient neuropsychological assessment services with a wide range of clinical populations, as well as consultation on inpatient TBI, stroke, and general rehabilitation hospital units.

Duties are as follows:
Neuropsychological and psychological assessment, including testing, scoring, feedback, and report writing, in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings
Addressing referral questions for a broad range of patients (including TBI, stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions)
Brief psychotherapy/counseling services with rehabilitation inpatients and consultation with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, as well as patients and families
There are also opportunities for participation in teaching, research, wellness initiatives, and quality improvement projects as part of the residency/fellowship programs in physical medicine and rehabilitation, psychiatry, geriatrics, and brain injury medicine

Standard Qualifications:
Education: Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA Accredited Program and post-doctoral fellowship with emphasis in clinical neuropsychology.  Candidates who are ABPP board certified or eligible to become board certified in clinical neuropsychology are preferred.  Full license to practice in the State of Michigan as required by law

Job Summary & Support Structure

1.      Looking to find a leader to help build a neuropsychology program within the neuroscience service line.

2.      Build an ambulatory practice housed within the neurology department with large internal and external referral base.  Min. vol expectations are 12-15 evals/wk.

3.      Collaborate with PM&R to offer services for adolescent/young adult and adult patients assisting individuals and families adjust to changes or chronic delays in physical and/or cognitive status secondary to developmental disability, illness and injury. Individuals who present with spinal/back injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, amputation, chronic pain, developmental disabilities and debility due to severe medical problems.

4.      Conduct Neuropsychological testing, including…

a.       Testing and treating for Alzheimer’s (average 15-20 per month from busy neurology practice)

b.       Neuropsychological evaluation for epilepsy surgery

c.       Cognitive rehab and baseline assessments for stroke patients

d.       WADA testing – future vision as we develop epilepsy surgery program in next 2-3 yrs (estimate 5-10 per yr)

5.       Potential future scope as the program grows

a.       PNES Clinic – there is a huge need, if candidate has an interest to build a PNES clinic, we have patients who need for it. U of M and CC are booking out for a year for this clinic

b.       Memory care clinic in collaboration with neurocognitive neurologist. There is no such clinic in the region and we make referrals to Michigan or CC for it.  (strategy 3-5 yrs out)

c.       MS center (strategy 2-3 yrs out)

6.       Support Staff and office structure

a.       Mercy will provide 1-2 psychometrists to support program based on volumes and provider needs.

b.       Will purchase appropriate testing equipment to support the program

c.       Will have space prepared for Neuropsychology program including:

i.            Office for provider

ii.            Office for psychometrist

iii.            Equipment space

iv.            2 exam rooms/testing rooms with appropriate privacy and safety

7.       Neuroscience Clinical Faculty – neurology resident clinical and didactic education, multiple multidisciplinary conferences (neuro oncology, neurovascular, trauma), and grand rounds.
