Our Psychologists and Neuropsychologists will work with an interdisciplinary team (MD, PT, OT, SLP, vocational counselor) in an outpatient setting.

Our Psychologists are responsible for individual and group treatments for our clients, giving injured workers skills, support and education so they may return to life, work and wellness.  The Psychologist will also conduct comprehensive evaluations, provide treatment, collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to create treatment plans, and communicate with referring physicians.

Our Neuropsychologist will conduct assessments of the impact of a work injury on cognitive, emotional and behavioral functioning. Utilizing different methods of assessment, they will provide an evaluation that evaluates attention span, memory, receptive and expressive language, concentration, new learning, reasoning, abstract and organizational thinking, judgment, emotional functioning, and general psychological evaluation. The treatment team will utilize the assessment for cognitive remediation and psychosocial treatment as part of the patient’s rehabilitation plan to address their unique needs.

Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.

Job Summary:

Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.

Samaritan Neuropsychology located in Albany, Oregon is seeking to hire two adult outpatient neuropsychologists to provide comprehensive neuropsychological services for the mid-Willamette valley.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide assessments for geriatrics and adults who present with neurological, cognitive, and behavioral problems due to a wide range of etiologies. Other opportunities include working with sports medicine and concussion clinics as well as our medical inpatient units. The position will be partially based out of an integrated primary care clinic that houses a family medicine group along with health psychology and clinical social workers.

This position involves the coordination and provision of outpatient neuropsychological evaluations of adult patients who are referred for neurocognitive assessments.   • Two years minimum experience working independently as a clinical neuropsychologist at an academic, medical, or clinical institution
    Skilled in pediatric psychological and psycho-educational report writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities inside and outside the organization
