Dayton Children’s Hospital, in Dayton, Ohio, is recruiting a pediatric neuropsychologist as we embark on our initiative to expand mental health services. Candidates must possess a doctorate from an APA accredited program in psychology or neuropsychology with fellowship training in pediatric neuropsychology. Candidates must be licensed or license eligible in Ohio. Consideration will be given to those in the second year of postdoctoral training.

 

The successful candidate will serve the assessment needs of well over 35 medical subspecialties represented within our hospital and community. The hospital has a rich referral base with excellent neurosurgical and hematology/oncology services, and a longstanding relationship between Neurology and the Psychology departments.

Brooks Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Clinical Neuropsychologist to join the Department of Psychology. This unique position offers the ability to follow patients throughout their continuum of care, from the inpatient hospital to the community/outpatient setting.

The neuropsychologist is an integral part of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, which includes physicians, nursing, case management, and physical, speech, and occupational therapists. The primary patient populations include stroke and acute acquired brain injury; secondary populations are patients with complex medical conditions and dementia.

Primary responsibilities include the provision of:

· Comprehensive neuropsychological services to individuals in the inpatient neurorehabilitation hospital,

· Assessment to aid in diagnostics and treatment planning in the inpatient rehabilitation setting; interventions relating to adjustment to disability, behavioral management, pain management, and family counseling in the inpatient neurorehabilitation setting.

Qualifications:

· Ph.D./Psy.D. from an APA-accredited clinical psychology program, with completion of APA accredited internship

· Two years of postdoctoral training consistent with Houston conference guidelines and eligible for board certification

· Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Florida

West Tennessee Healthcare is seeking to add an additional full-time Neuropsychologist to join our West Tennessee Neuroscience and Spine Center in Jackson, TN. This established practice is part of the West Tennessee Medical Group, a large multi-specialty employed provider group affiliated with Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital. We currently employ over 150 physicians and 92 advanced practice providers throughout a 19-country service area. This position will provide outpatient focused neuropsychological assessment of adult patients with a broad spectrum of neurological disorders. Job Summary

The Department of Neurology at the University of California, at Davis (UCD) will have openings for two neuropsychology postdoctoral fellows to begin September 1, 2023. At one given time, we typically have about 4 postdoctoral fellows. Fellows will participate in clinical, didactic and research activities. Clinical work focuses on conducting both comprehensive as well as more brief neuropsychological assessments. Opportunities for treatment are also available, including involvement in group-based brain health interventions for older adults. We offer an extensive didactic program, as well as numerous other training opportunities typical of a large university medical center.  One position will be based on the UC Davis Medical Center campus in Sacramento CA. Fellows in the Sacramento location will conduct evaluations on adults with a wide variety of neurological disorders including: various dementias (e.g., AD, FTD, Primary Progressive Aphasia syndromes), epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, CNS tumors, stroke, MS, TBI, etc. Participation in Wada testing and intra-operative and extra-operative cortical brain mapping is also available and fellows regularly attend case conference associated with the epilepsy and deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgical programs. There is also one position located in the UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Center in the San Francisco East Bay area. This position has a strong focus on evaluating older adults with a broad range of neurodegenerative disorders. These are all two-year positions with competitive salary plus benefits.

• The neuropsychologist will have an opportunity to work closely with the epilepsy and movement disorder teams to complete pre-surgical evaluations (e.g., DBS, epilepsy surgery), as well as participate in epilepsy surgery team meetings.
• There is also ongoing research across the department (i.e., movement disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis) that one can participate in. There is also departmental support for team members to develop their own line of research.
• The neuropsychologist will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the neuropsychology program and develop specialized services to expand the program (e.g., brain health clinic, cognitive interventions, etc.).

Qualified Candidates:

• 2-year formal postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology
• Graduate of American Psychological Association approved PHD or Psych D. program in clinical psychology or neuropsychology.
• BLS Licensure or certification
