The Clinical Psychology Program adheres to a practitioner-scholar model of training and awards a Doctor of Psychology degree (PsyD) to students who complete the program. The Program operates on a quarter system and students typically complete their training, including a pre-doctoral Internship, within four years.

The Assistant/Associate Professor is expected to teach courses in neuropsychology and to oversee the success of students within the neuropsychology track, including student research and student advisement and mentoring. The neuropsychology faculty candidate will work with the director of clinical training to assist in assigning students on the neuropsychology track to appropriate neuropsychology practicum sites. The faculty member will also interact with site supervisors as necessary to ensure the quality and suitability of the training provide at these sites.  The successful candidate will also provide supervision coverage periodically to our practicum students and post-doctoral fellow assigned to our onsite Psychology Clinic.

The Department of Neurology, The Neurological Institute, and Houston Methodist Hospital System excited to be recruiting a full-time adult neuropsychologist to join our growing, vibrant, and busy interdisciplinary neuroscience group at the Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital campus.   Our rapidly growing practice is comprised of seven full-time neurologists representing of various specializations along with two neurosurgeons and a pain management physician.  The current neuropsychology team includes a neuropsychologist and a technician.  We work with diverse populations including stroke, TBI, neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders, neurodegenerative conditions, and neurosurgical cases. The successful candidate will have a desire to work with geriatric persons.  However, they will also have the breadth of clinical experience sufficient to reach across the adult age span as we also see a significant number of younger adults. The position requires strong clinical as well as excellent written and spoken communication skills.  The successful candidate will get to interface directly with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other medical professionals.  The patient care experience is of foremost importance here at Houston Methodist. An excellent “bedside manner” is a must.  This position will be designated primarily for outpatient service delivery. However, inpatient consultations are sometimes required.  An application for hospital privileges will be required.

The position is primarily clinical but developing a research agenda is also encouraged with internal support available. An academic appointment is available through Weil-Cornell Medical School.

Adult Neuropsychologist – Baltimore:  The MedStar National Rehabilitation Network, (MNRN) has an opening for a talented, creative clinical neuropsychologist at our MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore. The position entails providing both inpatient services for our rehabilitation unit as well as outpatients referred from MedStar and other outpatient medicine/neurology clinics in the Greater Baltimore region. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine is looking to expand its brain stimulation program. We are seeking a clinical/translational investigator who can lead an interdisciplinary research program integrating preclinical insights with novel human clinical trials. Duke has a long tradition of clinical care, research, and education in the area of brain stimulation. The Duke Electroconvulsive Therapy Clinic provides cutting-edge clinical care, and the Duke Brain Stimulation Research Center offers brain stimulation research services for members of the Duke community. A range of brain stimulation techniques are developed and utilized at Duke, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation (tVNS), electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), deep brain stimulation (DBS), and magnetogenetics.

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the Duke University School of Medicine is seeking a psychologist or psychiatrist at the Associate Professor or Professor Level to serve as Associate Director, Duke Center of Autism and Brain Development. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background with demonstrated leadership and history of accomplishment in autism research, clinical care, education, research, and administration. The Duke Center for Autism and Brain Development is an NIH Autism Center of Excellence dedicated to ensuring that autistic individuals reach their full potential, allowing society to benefit from the talents that neurodiverse individuals offer. Center faculty, students, and staff include both clinicians and scientists who work in partnership with autistic people and their families, and the broader community, to realize this goal. Approximately 95 faculty, students, and staff are employed part- or full-time at the center. Training opportunities are offered to postdoctoral associates, fellows, interns, graduate students, medical students, and undergraduates. With the support of Duke University, research grants, and philanthropy, the center offers state-of-the-art interdisciplinary clinical care, conducts cutting-edge research to improve lives, inspires and trains the next generation of scientists and clinicians, and partners with the community to impact policy and services. The Center fosters synergies between its clinical and research programs to promote translation of scientific discoveries into improved methods for screening, diagnosis, and treatment. Signature research areas include brain function and imaging, biomarkers, early detection and screening, digital health and computational neuroscience, early intervention, psychosocial interventions, global health and implementation science, and clinical trials. The Associate Director will be expected to maintain their own active program of autism research.
